Group 5 -Recreational Adult Speed Skating (New Fall 2024!)
Adult Short Track - Half Season (Oct-Dec, 2024)
Dates: Every Thursday (Starting Oct 3) at 7:30 -8:15 PM
Location: Lions Arena
Total Cost: $250. (In addition to the program fee, skaters are required to purchase annual Speed Skating Saskatchewan and Speed Skating Canada Memberships. There is also an IceReg Processing Fee).
Skates are available for rental (first come first serve)
Refund Policy: No refunds after the first skating session.
Adult Short Learn to Skate (Winter 2025)
This is for adults who are brand new to skating and want to learn basic skating skills.
Location: 400m outdoor Clarence Downey International Speed Skating Oval, the fastest natural ice in Canada.
Times: TBC
Dates: TBC
Cost: TBC
Equipment: Helmet, skates (hockey or speed skate rentals), warm winter clothes for outdoor skating.
Skates: limited sizes of recreational speed skates are available to rent from SLSSC on a first-come first-served basis ($50 for the season). Skates only available during Club times (renters can't take them home as they are also used for school classes during the day).
