Light Up the Night

Light up the Ice is a “community speed skating event” that is being hosted by the Saskatoon Lions Speed Skating Club. The purpose of the event is to introduce speed skating to who may have never even heard of the sport, and to make it easier for those in Saskatoon and surrounding area for whom the cost of equipment may be a barrier.

Great Icescape Marathon 2016

Come out for the Saskatoon Great Icescape Marathon 2016

January 31, 2016
10:00am Warmup, Racing to commence shortly thereafter
Estimated finish time for final event 2:00pm

Clarence Downey Oval, Dudley St and Avenue R

Pay only one Registraton Fee and register for any or all distances:
$10 for ages 17 and under
$20 for ages 18 and over

Distances: Under 12 2K, 25K, 10K, 5K, 10K Relay

Online Registration Deadline: January 29th midnight
or register in-person on Jan 31 at the oval

Helmets are Mandatory for 14 and Under.  Recommended for everyone else.

January Short Learn to Skate Registration – Now Open

Register here for January 2016 Short Learn to Skate Program

The Short Learn to Skate program is designed to jump start the beginner skater,
ages 4 years and up. Skaters wear their own hockey or figure skates.

Dates: January 5, 7, 12, 14, 19, 21, 26 & 28
5:00 pm – 5:45 pm at Lions Arena, 2205 McEowen Ave
Program cost: $85
Partial fee credit is applied if skaters continue to Regular Season Program
